About training
Aikido is well suited for children and young people. We practise soft movements, cooperation and coordination without kicks, punches or competition. Everyone trains at their own level and develops together.
Grading
Children and young people can grade through special junior levels. Each grade is marked with coloured stripes on the belt. When they get older and move on to adult training, they progress through kyu grades and later dan grades with a black belt.
Dress
Come as you are, barefoot in long training trousers and a T-shirt. You do not need a Gi to begin with. Feel free to bring a water bottle and a small towel.
Instructors
Children's group:
- Alex Wyke
Youth group:
- Svante Resjö
- Moa Lindell
All leaders have attended leadership courses via SISU Sports Trainers.
Insurance
Injuries are uncommon in Aikido, but should an accident occur, you are insured through the Swedish Budo & Martial Arts Federation (SB&K). Read about the insurance
